Automation of a thermic exhaust air treatment

Pfizer is world leading in the sector of Consumer Health Care and endues the world's biggest business in animal-drugs. The facility which is automated by Hermos is a thermic exhaust air treatment system type Ecopure RTO 3040 from Dürr Umwelttechnik GmbH.

This is already the second facility of that type for which we provided the whole electrical engineering for Dürr in Ireland.

The special feature of that facility is based upon a sophisticated procedure. The delivery- and exhaust air enters and exits the chamber via a rotating system and through different channels. As a result the chamber is used in its optimum and no ineffective and therewith contaminated spheres are being generated.

The complete exhaust air treatment system had to be fitted with adequate electrical components in order to guarantee a smooth automatic-operation of the facility. The customer's special focus was a high operational availability of the facility, therefore Dürr used redundant fans, burners etc. to ensure uninterruptible operation.

The customer can benefit from Pfizer's strict validation directives because the whole project is based upon it.
