pit-FMDB – is a tool for the cost-conscious management of buildings, equipment or other objects.

Efficient information management forms the basis for a successful facility management. In pit-FMDB information about objects to be managed (real estates, buildings, rooms, equipment, components…) is centrally managed.
Information can be quickly queried using workable filter functions and then be meaningfully interpreted and presented in many ways. Similarly, data from CAD drawings can also be integrated in the same way as data from ERP systems (company resource planning software) and that from building automation systems.

A secure investment due to an open system
The data from pit-FMDB are managed in a standard database management system with open structure. This means that you get a transparent, future safe system and that any data you have recorded and maintained can be incorporated and used in other systems.
pit-FM forms a very useful multifunctional front-end to standard databases such as MS Access, SQL Server or Oracle and it allows information to be more easily entered and managed, which means reduced costs and improved efficiency.
Powerful CAD interface
There is also an efficient coupling available to AutoCAD. Area objects (storeys, rooms, sub areas) and inventory objects (equipment, units, furniture) are automatically recognized in a drawing and linked with the database. Area and object contents are transferred into the database from the drawing – further attributes are exchanged bidirectionally between CAD and the database. Clearly this automatization also saves costs.
Selected areas or inventory objects can be displayed in CAD format in the database. Facility management relevant information can be directly shown by pointing to the CAD area or the CAD object. Area coloration properties can be freely selected and for standard tasks such as coloring according to use or cost codes it is predefined.
Uses small steps to achieve great goals
pit-FMDB supports the evolutionary procedure during installation of the FM system. This means that you only initially need to enter the basic data in the facility management sub areas, those which are most important for you. Additional areas can be integrated on a step by step basis. Details can be then be added to the data as and when required while working on the system. The properties described for those areas / objects to be managed can be enhanced as required.
Adaptable software structure for your individual requirements pit-FMDB program structure is flexible and can be customized to suit user and data resources. The “tailored“ mapping of the specific processes and structure of your company gives you a better overview and clearly saves time.
